CBD for Arthritis and Joint Pain: Does it Work?

David finds CBD gets him back on his bike.

Children are often the source of many of the most heartbreaking stories we hear about the healing power of cannabis, but patients who can benefit come in all shapes, sizes, and ages. Consider David, a 65 year-old married father of one daughter, who spent his life in blue collar work – welding, manufacturing, and over-the-road truck driving. Thirty years of hard physical work can take a toll on one’s body, and even the healthiest of lifestyles can’t always combat the ravages of arthritis, joint pain, and general deterioration of the body.
David envisioned his retirement as having time to ride his motorcycle, go fishing with old friends, and enjoy all of the things he finally could do at his leisure. Unfortunately, those things were difficult to manage with arthritis and joint pain having taken a front seat and traditional physicians offered very little in the way of a medical solution. Losing weight, getting more exercise, and supplements might prevent the speed of deterioration, but none of them provided him with pain relief.

What DOES provide relief for David? CBD flower. With less than .3% THC and a CBD profile that is made for pain relief – this patient consumes CBD flower each and every day and has reported the ability to sleep well for at least 8 hours a night. His pain isn’t preventing him from hobbies, and he enjoys the calm feeling without being “baked.” Cannabis has so many different benefits for so many people – makes you wonder why we had to fight for decades to be able to use it as medicine, doesn’t it?
